The Farmhouse

Over the years, our company has considerably expanded, having introduced not only different crops and new production techniques, but also additional species and heads of livestock. Always in the ORGANIC, we use seeds handed down for decades and suitable seedlings, which we treat using specific methods regulated by the disciplinary.

Our strengths are the grains, especially wheat (Senatore Cappelli, Bolero, Saragolla Lucana, Carosello) and spelt (Dicocco), legumes, vegetables; but also the cultivation of blackberries, raspberries, currants and blueberries; and finally those of corn, for zootechnical use, but also for the alimentary one: we cultivate indeed ancient vitreous grain varieties, perfect for polenta and bread-making.

We are part of the Consortium FAGIOLI DI SARCONI IGP and we produce several varieties of these beans, including Ciuoto, white and red Cannellino, Tabacchino and Verdolino.

Our company boasts the possession of a small ten-year olive grove, with secular trees, but destined to grow. We produce table olives suitable for storage in brine, Frantoiane olives from which we squeeze the oil we use for the farm, and Leccine, perfect for being baked and preserved in salt.

Among our greatest prides, a place of honor goes undoubtedly to our vineyard. With an extent of about half a hectare, it is divided into vines of MERLOT, CABERNET-SAUVIGNON and MALVASIA BIANCA. In this case also the cultivation and wine production techniques are entirely organic, from the plant to the final product.

We also raise poultry, sheep-goats, pigs and, since recently, bovines, in addition to horses: from these we get the meat that is then served in the Farmhouse, and eggs that every morning we collect fresh for our preparations and for direct sale.
